How did you get started working in the bike industry?

After finishing my previous job I had quite a few months off, and having got in to cycling over the previous few years thought it might be fun to work with bikes when I needed to start getting an income again, so started part time in a bike shop and things have escalated since then.

What is your favourite part about biking?

The freedom – for me there’s nothing quite like getting out in the sunshine and away from the city for a few hours.    

Favourite trails/tracks/rides?

Anywhere in the Port Hills is good, esp the trip around the bays to Purau. And Western Valley Road is always a good tough ride. But in reality, if there is some sunshine and it is a bit scenic I will be happy!

When you're not biking, you are...

Probably playing with the kids, or scheming something – eg. my next Fantasy Football or Velogames team, my next bike, or my next big ride (which may or may not actually happen!).
